| The Scientology Volunteer Ministers of Calcutta are dedicated to bringing the technology of L. Ron Hubbard to the people of the region. |
The Scientology Handbook was released in West Bengal, India, at the Calcutta Book Fair, and the impact that it made in only 8 months holds as a real testament to the power of the technology developed by L. Ron Hubbard.
Even though West Bengal occupies less than 3 percent of India it is the most densely populated state in all of India comprising nearly 10 percent of India's population.
A dedicated team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers who have been trained on the Scientology Handbook, have taken this technology to the slums of Calcutta, known for its illiteracy, drugs, poverty and sexual trafficking, where an estimated third of Calcutta's 14 million residents are living in slums.
In September the Scientology Handbook will be released in Bengali, at the New Delhi Book Fair in West Bengal, making this technology available to the over 200 million people for whom Bengali is their native language.
Spearheaded by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers India Goodwill Tour, this group of young men and women are living examples of their motto — "Something CAN be done about it!"
